Doctor Jones prides himself on providing patient care and dental work that far exceeds the industry standard. Doctor Jones has experience in emergency, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Just a few of the services our office offers are listed below.
Has it been awhile since your last dental cleaning? We recommend visiting our dental hygienist once every six months (in some cases every four months depending on the health of your gums) for a cleaning. Regular cleanings prevent gingivitis (otherwise known as inflamed gum tissue, bleeding gum tissue while brushing or flossing may be a sign of gingivitis) and periodontitis (a more severe form of gingivitis characterized by bone loss). If it has been awhile since your last cleaning, or if you are naturally more susceptible to plaque and calculus build-up, your hygienist may recommend a deep cleaning (otherwise known as scaling and root planing). Deep cleanings are necessary when plaque and calculus build-up has accumulated below your gum tissue. If a deep cleaning is required your hygienist will let you know at your appointment prior to beginning the cleaning.
The easiest way to prevent complex, expensive dental issues is to catch them long before they became a serious issue! By visiting our dental office twice a year, we will be able to fix small dental problems before they become major ones. Teeth that are neglected that need fillings will likely end up needing crowns. Many teeth that end up needing root canals could have been resolved without a root canal if treatment would have been addressed sooner. By having a comprehensive dental exam and regular x-rays taken, our dental team can address your current dental issues, work with you on your treatment goals, and prevent you from experiencing major dental problems down the road.
If you have a cavity, you will likely need a filling or crown to repair your tooth and prevent the cavity from getting larger. Our dental office uses tooth colored fillings, otherwise known as composites, to repair most cavities. The repair process is simple, straightforward, and painless. In the event that a larger cavity is present that cannot be repaired with a tooth colored filling, you may need a crown (commonly referred to as a cap) on the tooth to give the tooth more support and stability. Our office uses zirconia crowns. They are tooth colored and shade matched to match your existing teeth. They are also one of the strongest dental materials on the market.
Crooked teeth? Looking for that perfect straight smile? Our office provides orthodontics in the form of traditional braces (wire and brackets) and invisalign. Invisalign consists of a series of removable clear retainers that are worn all day, only taken out to eat and to brush your teeth. Each retainer will slightly move your teeth and each retainer is typically worn for one week. By the time you are on your final retainer, you will have a beautiful straight smile! To determine your eligibility for orthodontics, schedule a consult with us and we’d be happy to discuss it with you! The amount of time each case takes is unique to each person.
Root canals are indicated for teeth that have been severely decayed or that have been subjected to trauma. In either of these cases, the nerve of the tooth needs to be cleaned out and filled to prevent bacteria from filling this space and causing an infection (or to stop an infection that is already present). This is what is done in a root canal. Root canals can typically be completed in one appointment. Following your treatment, you will likely need a crown placed on the tooth to support it.
In the event that a tooth cannot be saved, either due to financial reasons or because a tooth is too badly decayed to be restored, an extraction may be necessary. We are capable of handling routine and surgical extractions. We offer nitrous oxide sedation and conscious IV sedation at an extra cost. Both erupted and impacted wisdom teeth extractions can also be completed at our office.
Veneers are an excellent option for achieving the “hollywood smile”. Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain that are bonded to your existing teeth. Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. Schedule an appointment with us to see if you are a good candidate for implant placement.
